Absence

Summary: Zim gets a surprising call from the Tallest requiring him to return to Irk. He leaves quickly, unknown to Dib, and takes his entire base with him. After a few weeks of wondering why Zim hasn’t shown up at school, Dib pays a quick “visit” to Zim’s house, only, there’s no house to pay visits to, just a vacant space. Dib is left utterly confused and for rest of the summer he spends time reflecting upon Zim’s absence at his summer job, a secretary for a Paranormal Firm, Flamel’s Investigators of the supernatural and paranormal, in the out skirts of town. There he creates a strong connection with one of his coworkers, Cody, who is suspicious of their bosses: the investigators. He suspects they hold inside info on a soon to come alien invasion after seeing an open file on one of the desks while snooping around the offices at night. The two team up to uncover the truth about the alien invasion. ZADR. DACF.

ok. i have NEVER had an OTP. NEVER. Mostly because i jump around fandoms too spuratically and because of my OCD i obsess over stuff too deeply too quickly. i never thought i would be married to a certain couple.

now, even though i'm obsessed with so many other things at the moment, i always find time for ZADR. actually everything that i do is ZADR. i almost have to force myself to draw/write something else. i feel like i'm so insync with it i don't even have to struggle to think of a topic for a picture/story, it just... comes... so naturally. actually, i have to stop my brain from flooding my thoughts with ZADR so i can devote my attention to fangirling over something else.

i don't even know why i like it so much more than some other couples. for a while i thought it was just their whole rivalry/hate/desperate need relationship that captivated me, but then i thought "So then why do i like LeeGaa more than SasuNaru?". it just makes no sense to me.

OMG LazloEdward is AMAZING!!! and i'm like the only person you loves them. xD

ok. so i have a thing for "opposites atract" xD. but Lazlo and Edward's relationship is more dimentional than just that alone. Lazlo has a certain kind of innocent wisdom that only children who have yet to discover reality know. Edward seems to be pushed passed this stage (perhaps due to having his many older brothers around)and seems to harbor jelousy over Lazlo's never faltering cheery atmosphere. Because Lazlo is naturally thoughtful and concerned for the being of others, i can see him clashing with Edward's grumpy moods and short temper in an attempt to cheer him up. Edward obviously has some kind of superiority complex as we see through his constant critisism of others, and probably feels that he needs Lazlo (especially) to recognize his "superior intellect". These goals were probably brought on by Lazlo's constant countering of Edward's arrogance with smiles and sunshine, leaving a frustrated Edward to go take his anger out on someone with a weaker sense of identity and confidence. In short: proving others wrong makes Edward feel good about himself, making up for his own lack of self assurance. Bringing Lazlo to his knees would probably be the ultimate in satisfaction.

And on another note, Edward is probably gay, crushing on Lazlo and in denial. It would give his bitter attitude a reason and his constant Lazlo bashing. What better way to prove to yourself and others that your not sexually confused than playing the "manly" role of the bully and targeting your crush? Oh, and of course there's Veronica, his dolly. And i won't even begin to count all the sexual innuendo plced between the two in "Campers All Pants Down".

Lazlo is a mystery to me. He could be bisexual since he seems like the open minded free spirited type. Wether he would crush on Edward depends on circumstances and emotions, which has nothing to do with personality. But if there was any kind of romance between the two i can bet that it would spawn from Edward. So who would be the girl? I say Edward. He's shorter, emotionally constipated (like many teenage girls), and he plays with dolls. Lazlo is more stable and though not exactly "dominant" i can see him being Edward's support durring one of his "episodes" or spaz attacks (YAY SPAZZEH EDWARD!!). In my book equanimity beats freak-out syndrome.

And yeah. It's friggin adictively adorable. xD
